My clinical practice is informed by science. I strongly believe in using the most effective treatments that are supported by decades of research to reduce clients' symptoms as well as improve their daily functioning and quality of life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) currently has the strongest evidence for treating PTSD and anxiety disorders. CBT is time-limited and skills-based. The goal of CBT is that by the end of treatment, clients can be their own therapists, using the skills they learned in therapy. I want clients to be out living their lives, not in therapy for years without significant progress.
